Stay in Guéliz and explore Marrakech at your pace
Walks, local routes and breaks between Guéliz and the medina.

Two sides of the same city
Choosing Guéliz does not mean missing the medina. The neighbourhood has a different rhythm: avenues, shops, cafés and galleries can punctuate sightseeing days. The medina lends itself to walks through narrow lanes and monument visits. Alternating these settings helps first-time visitors understand Marrakech. Your accommodation choice mainly depends on your habits, how much you like walking and how you plan to return in the evening.
Useful distances, without promising everything on foot
From Stars, our mapped routes show around 800 metres to Carré Eden, 1.7 kilometres to Majorelle, 1.6 kilometres to Koutoubia and 2.1 kilometres to Jemaa el-Fna. These are street routes rather than straight-line distances. Time depends on your pace, crossings and breaks. In summer, a reasonable distance on a map may feel less comfortable at midday. Adapt transport to the weather and your comfort.
A first neighbourhood walk
After checking in, begin with the streets near the hotel. Reach Avenue Mohammed V, find a terrace and note any shops you would like to return to. Carré Eden can be a useful landmark without becoming a compulsory stop. Keep the first day flexible if your flight arrives late or you are travelling with children. Save the Stars address on your phone: corner of Rue Sebou and Rue Oued Nfis, Guéliz.
Combine visits with time to rest
One day might begin in a garden, continue with lunch and end in the medina. Another can focus on palaces and souks. Avoid travelling back and forth between distant places to tick off a long list. At the hotel, guests have complimentary rooftop pool access; Orélia Spa treatments require booking. For meals, the Pensée page presents current offers. These breaks work best as part of the plan rather than additions to an already full day.
Plan arrival and return journeys
For an airport transfer, contact reception in advance for pricing and arrangements. Traffic can extend the journey, especially at certain times. If arriving by train, locate the station on our map and choose transport suited to your luggage. Reception is open 24 hours, but room check-in starts at 3 pm under the stay conditions. Browse rooms and availability to choose the category that suits you, then use our Marrakech guide to plan your days.
